Recent Work History

Areo: May 2013 - Present

Senior UX Designer

I get to work on a lot of really cool things at Aereo. More information to come :)

Lycos: August 2009 - May 2013

  • Creative Director: September 2012 - May 2013

I am currently the Creative Director for Lycos, which maintains many of the duties I had under my previous title of Creative Manager, but expands my role into having a hand in the direction of the games division of Lycos, as well as becoming more involved in the marketing and product direction for Lycos.

  • Creative Manager: October 2011 - September 2012

As Creative Manager, I officially became the head of our design teams working on the Web Publishing products (Angelfire.com, Tripod.com and our website editor, Zeeblio) as well as all of the Lycos Network properties.

My daily duties shifted from solely doing design and development, into delegating tasks to my design team, while also training and continuing to take on the lead design/dev role for certain projects.

  • Lead Designer & Front-End Developer: April 2010 - October 2011

I was quickly promoted into the Lead Design and Front-End Developer position due to my quick turn around time and my vision/understanding of how our products needed to look and function.

During this time, I began taking on projects outside of the Web Publishing department, and began implementing projects to update properties like HotBot.com, Lycos.com, and to create new properties like weatherzombie.com

  • Web Designer: August 2009 - April 2010

Originally I was brought into the Web Publishing division of Lycos to work on creating templates for the Tripod.com & Angelfire.com website building tool, Webon (now Zeeblio). My other main duty was to take the designs of the lead designer and convert them over into semantic HTML and CSS.

Graham Communications: March 2007 - August 2009

Lead Designer

While working at Graham Communications I performed the tasks of a digital and print designer.

Our clients ranged from small businesses and local/regional business chains to nation wide insurance agencies and technical manufacturers.

For many of our clients I developed designed and implemented their websites, e-mail marketing, branding, and print collateral with our in-house copy writers. As time went on, I also generated copy and edited copy as I learned the businesses we were working with and best practices for writing copy for the web, email and short articles for newsletters.
